What Camera do you shoot with?
I shoot with the 1DS MarkII, such an amazing camera with nice coloring and clean files.
What lenses and equipment do you shoot with?
50mm 1.4, 70-200mm 2.8L, 35mm 1.4L. I shoot most of my work with the 50mm 1.4. I mostly use the 70-200mm 2.8L for ceremony shots to get a nice tight zoom. I use the 35mm 1.4 for wide family shots and for wide detail shots of tables or really any wide shot I need.
I use Pocket Wizard Control TLs during receptions with Canon 580ex speedlites.
How do you process your images?
Yes I am a mac but you don’t need a mac to process the way I do, although I highly recommend it. I upload and select all my images through Photo Machanic. I use Adobe Lightroom to color correct and brighten or darken all my images. Every now and then I might use Capture One to get a specific skin tone I want.
After that process I bring my images into Adobe Photoshop for a few minor adjustments for blogging. The only action I use is one my buddy Michael Norwood created, keep an eye out for it he should be launching soon. Then I use Blog Stomp to resize, sharpen and add my watermark to my images.
Do you shoot Raw or JPG?
I shoot Raw, Raw, Raw. I like the fact that I can adjust my images in Lightroom just like I do in my camera. I have nothing against JPG, I actually now a few people that shoot JPG and there pictures look amazing. Raw just gives me more room to process my images how I want them.
Do you work alone?
No! Unless it’s a engagement or portrait session I always have an assistant. Yes I do all my own processing and my wonderful wife helps out with album design.
